ANIMATION + VIDEO REFERENCES

Since the animation is backed by a song, there are a few scenes where we want to lock the timing to match the song chorus, as such, that leaves a bit less wiggle room for some of the other shots. As we progressed through the animation, we continued to revise the animatic and replacing it with animation playblasts to refine the pacing of everything. Our 2D animation helpers also rely on the finetuning of the shots' timing to know when and how to animate the 2D fishes into the scene.

Of course, when it comes to animation, that means taking and using references. Neither of us are experienced in acting, so it sure led to some clumsy endeavors, but it all worked out in the end.
